Carolyn Kuiken received her B.A. of General Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2008. Carolyn is extremely compassionate and is an animal lover first and foremost, and all her life thought she would be a veterinarian. But after living on a farm and experiencing numerous unpleasant events, she decided against that career. After a few years of working at Carter BloodCare and from encouragement from her sister, Dr. C, she decided to go in the direction of massage therapy and use her Godgiven gift as a “healer”. Carolyn received a massage therapy license at Kekino Massage Academy and Institute of Healing in 2011 and immediately began her extensive training of Myofascial Release under the founder John F. Barnes.

Introductory Rate $60 (Swedish)
$80 per hour, $120 for 1.5, and $160 for 2 hours for Swedish/Deep Tissue
$110 per hour of Myofascial Release
$100 per hour of Myofascial Release/Swedish combo
$100 per hour of Lymphatic Drainage
$90 per hour of Lymphatic Drainage/Swedish combo
Services:
Swedish: A basic relaxing full body massage which may include a variety of massage strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve circulation.
Deep Tissue: This modality is usually applied to specific issues and concentrated areas of the body that really feel stuck, and stagnate or the client feels the need to get in deep to meet the pain.
Trigger point: Trigger point massage is a specialized therapy that targets hyperirritable spots in muscle tissue, known as trigger points, to alleviate pain and restore normal muscle function.
Myofascial Release: Myofascial Release is a type of therapy specifically applied to change the state or pattern of tissue known as fascia. It is applied to short restricted tissue with the intention to decrease the negative effects of repetitive motion, dysfunctional postural patterns, chronic pain patterns, which in turn changes the neurological input.
Cupping: Suction is applied to the skin using plastic cups. The vacuum action of cupping rapidly aids in the release of rigid soft tissues, it loosens and lifts connective tissues, it breaks up and drains stagnation, and it increases blood and lymph flow to skin, muscles, and connective tissues.
Lymphatic Drainage: A lymphatic drainage massage is a type of gentle massage that helps lymphatic fluid (lymph) move away from swollen lymph nodes to areas with working lymph vessels. In other words, it increases lymphatic drainage. It’s also called “manual lymphatic drainage,” and compared to other forms of massages it’s typically much gentler.
Canine Massage:
Monday-Wednesday (11-5). $65 Initial assessment and 30 minute session. $50 for 30 minutes. $65 for 45 minutes. $100 for 60 minutes. Complimentary travel of up to 10 miles from permanent massage studio (4971 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75034), $1 per mile outside of those parameters.

Cancellation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24 hour (weekday) or 48 hour (weekend) advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
